Craig Ferguson in “Jersey Shore: The Movie”.
This trailer for Jersey Shore: The Movie (“Not a pickle!” –EW.com) will air on CBS’ The Late Late Show With Craig Ferguson, which you’ll want to watch tonight after trashin’ it up with MTV’s season finale of Jersey Shore. But it would also be a good “situation” if you creeped on the trailer right here, right now. Try to fit it in among your G, T, and L. Press play for Mila Kunis, Tom Lennon, Super Mario, and Nick Lachey in the role of a lifetime.

Kimmel and Ferguson: The Rosencrantz and Guildenstern of Late Night?
As the Conan vs. Leno chat-show war fades, two unexpected players emerge
Prime time has taken a back seat to late night. You may have heard about it. But the battle between Team CoCo and Team Leno isn’t the only story emerging from NBC’s late-night bloodbath — which now has Jay returning to The Tonight Show and Conan looking at gaining tens of millions in severance pay. There’s also the rise of Jimmy Kimmel, notable for diving into the fray fists first, and Craig Ferguson, notable for largely avoiding it.
Kimmel has worked in relative obscurity since leaving Comedy Central’s lunk-headed Man Show for ABC’s post-Nightline slot in 2003. Except for his viral breakout with those “I’m Fucking Matt Damon/Ben Affleck” videos — featuring the Oscar-winning BFFs and Kimmel’s then-girlfriend Sarah Silverman — he’s been overshadowed by rival personalities Letterman, Leno and Conan.

Ferguson, on the other hand, quickly grew tired of the topic: “[Talking about] late-night TV bores the arse off me.” After repeatedly dismissing the whole affair as a bunch of millionaires whining about their jobs — including one typically surreal segment helmed by his alter ego Wavy Ranchero, an alligator hand puppet with a southern accent and a foul mouth — Ferguson put things into full perspective last Friday.

Craig Ferguson Revolutionized Late-Night TV Last Night.
Did you catch The Late Late Show last night? Unless I am mistaken, Craig Ferguson did something unprecedented in late-night talk-show history: He did his opening monologue… in the middle of the show!
Ferguson had guest Eddie Izzard come out first. They were just ducky together, free-associating wit at its TV finest.
Then, Craig did his monologue, including a fine Susan Boyle joke:
Finally, Ferguson did a cooking segment with barbeque master Myron Mixon to make some “chicken balls.” They were great; as Craig said to the Georgia chef, “I don’t understand your accent, and you don’t understand mine.” (Mixon got off a good line: “I speak the King’s English… Elvis.”)
Boy, do I love a cook who uses a lot of butter:

Northern Ireland Author’s Debut Novel is a Big Hit in the States.
Craig Ferguson has purchased the rights to Stuart Neville’s novel “The Ghosts of Belfast”.
Northern Ireland author’s debut novel is a big hit in the States
Saturday, 26 December 2009
Northern Ireland writer Stuart Neville is to go on network US television after an “extraordinary” year that saw his debut novel become a major hit.
Stuart from Armagh is due to appear on a top American talk show next month, to talk about his post-Troubles Northern Ireland crime fiction book The Twelve.
The novel has also been named book of the year by none other than Simon Le Bon, of Duran Duran fame.
The Twelve was published in the summer and tells the story of a former IRA prisoner haunted by his murderous past. His attempts to deal with his brutal memories form the basis of a gritty story that has received critical acclaim.
The publication of the American edition of The Twelve, titled The Ghosts of Belfast, saw Stuart embark on a month-long tour of the USA during October, travelling from coast to coast and it was was named on numerous best-of-2009 lists.
In early December Stuart received a surprise invitation to appear on one of America’s biggest talk shows. The Late Late Show, broadcast on network channel CBS after Letterman, is hosted by Scottish expat and crime fiction fan Craig Ferguson.
The producers flew him to Hollywood to tape the segment, which is due to air early in the New Year.
Stuart told the Belfast Telegraph: “It’s been an extraordinary year. Just having a book published was a big enough event in my life, but everything that’s happened since has been amazing.”

CBS Says Letterman, Ferguson ‘Very Close’ to Contract Extension.
Jan. 10 (Bloomberg) — David Letterman, host of CBS’s “Late Show,” and “Late Late Show” host Craig Ferguson are “very close” to contract extensions with CBS Corp., the most- watched U.S. TV network.
The agreements will run “deep into 2012,” Nina Tassler, president of CBS Entertainment, told reporters at a television critics conference yesterday in Pasadena, California.
CBS is solidifying its schedule as rival NBC considers returning comedian Jay Leno to 11:35 p.m. for a half-hour show to bolster sagging ratings in prime time and late night. Tassler said New York-based CBS didn’t waver in its support of Letterman during the host’s recent revelation of affairs with female staff members.
“We’re very close to a deal,” Tassler said. Letterman “is handling a deeply personal issue with grace.”
